Taylan Gökçe

I am a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from Çankaya University in Ankara, Türkiye — where I studied with a full scholarship, graduated with a GPA of 3.41/4.00, and ranked 2nd in my department. My academic and project background spans mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, robotics, sensor integration, AI-based perception, prototyping, and technical documentation.

During my internship at TürkTraktör's Engine Production Department, I gained hands-on shop-floor engineering experience in engine production processes, manufacturing operations, quality-oriented process follow-up, 5S, and continuous improvement — including designing and producing 3D-printed poka-yoke fixtures and SLA-printed sealing components to support scrap reduction and operational efficiency.

My graduation project, GRIP-IN, integrates mechanical design, Raspberry Pi-based control, AI camera perception, ToF/LiDAR distance sensing, object detection, and a servo-driven two-finger robotic gripping mechanism. The project received TÜBİTAK 2209-A support and won Second Place at the 19th R&D Project Market.

I am drawn to technically challenging environments that demand strong problem-solving, disciplined execution, hands-on prototyping, and system-level thinking — particularly in defense/aerospace, manufacturing engineering, robotics, and R&D contexts.
